PARENTING COORDINATION

I offer Parenting Coordination services for families needing post-judgment support. I am currently working in a co-coordination model with Cassandra Marshall, JD as my mentor. I work pursuant to a court order appointing us to provide these services.

ABOUT PARENTING COORDINATION

HOW WE BEGIN

WHAT TO EXPECT

Parenting Coordination is a post-judgment role appointed by the court to help parties improve their communication and resolve differences related to their children, thus reducing the need to return to court for resolution and improving family dynamics.

The first step after the inquiry is that we will send a copy of the appointment order to counsel for the parties. We may schedule a joint conference call to discuss the case.

After the order is signed by a judge, parties should complete the intake documents and submit their retainer. Then, we schedule individual intake appointments with each parent to orient to the service and understand the areas needing help.

We review relevant court documents including all orders and judgments in the case, and other materials requested by the parties or counsel. We may also consult with collateral contacts on the case.

Much of our work is done virtually, via email and/or Zoom meetings, but we can meet in person if requested or recommended.

When issues arise, parties reach out to the Parenting Coordinator for help and resolution.

Many of the families receiving services use Our Family Wizard for communicating with one another, as well as calendaring, reimbursement, and other functions. We request that each parent add the PCs to their OFW account.

Parenting Coordination services are not confidential.
